We are a group of neighbors living in the San Francisco West Portal and Inner Parkside neighborhoods concerned about the proposed high-density housing development planned for the 4.6 acre forested western side of the historic Arden Wood property. It's our goal to influence the size, scope and design of the project to ensure that it does not adversely impact our neighborhood.

| RUP drops out of Arden Wood Project | |
We were able to confirm through conversations with Mark Nelson (Liason between the Arden Wood Board and Republic Urban Developers), that RUP decided in October of 2008 to drop their bid to develop 4.6 acres of Arden Wood land. They decided at that time to cancel their paymet to Arden Wood that would have allowed them to retain their option on the property. Their belief that the entitlement process would take too long, in combination with the current economic conditions, lead them to this decision.
Arden Wood is no longer actively marketing the property, but continues to show it to interested developers upon request. | | Updated: 4/30/2009 | | |
